She has had
- 9 ear infections since September
- 2 sinus infections since September
- constant stuffy/runny nose
- severe aversions to us touching her face because we've been wiping her nose so long
- this affects her ability to eat also as bring a spoon to her mouth requires it touching her face, therapy is slow going on this as we still have to go at her face with tissues
- getting her to take a bath is also difficult, she has actually hurt herself trying to get out of the tub and away form a face cloth touching her face
- her oxygen saturations were low until they suctioned her nose
- She has only been able to have 4 antibiotics, zithromax/omnicef/amoxicillin/augmentin, we are avoiding those with sulfur.
- the antibiotics mess her her stomach
- the pressure in her head from the infections affects her ability to swallow and chew
- she gags on the mucus
- she can't breath through her nose which wakes her up
- when she was younger she would have almost apnea events of 15 seconds - we were told it was due to apnea of prematurity but I'm not convinced as she was 10 months old
- she has consistantly failed all of her tympanography tests
- she has never tested below 20 db in either ear
- she is currently considered 'delayed' in speech and cognition due to her hearing
Think I'm missing anything?
